1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using KidStory ("the Service") at ai.kidstory.app or the KidStory Android app, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or have a parent or guardian create and manage your account.
2. Description of Service
KidStory is an AI-powered platform that generates personalized storybooks for children. Users can:
- •Create stories using text or voice prompts
- •Read AI-generated stories with illustrations and audio narration
- •Take quizzes on completed stories
- •Download stories as PDF
- •Manage custom characters for recurring story heroes
3. Accounts and Credits
You must sign in with a Google account to use KidStory. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
KidStory uses a credit system. Free accounts receive 30 credits per month. Pro accounts receive 150 credits per month. Credits reset on the first day of each month and do not carry over. Credits are consumed when you create stories or take quizzes.
Pro status is granted manually by KidStory administrators and is valid for one calendar month.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- •Use the Service to generate content that is harmful, offensive, violent, sexually explicit, or inappropriate for children
- •Attempt to bypass credit limits or abuse the generation system
- •Share your account credentials with others
- •Use the Service for any commercial purpose without written permission
- •Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or copy the Service or its AI outputs at scale
- •Violate any applicable laws or regulations
5. Content Ownership
The story prompts you provide remain yours. The AI-generated stories, illustrations, and audio created by KidStory are provided to you for personal, non-commercial use. You may download and keep stories for your child's personal reading.
KidStory retains the right to use aggregated, anonymized story data to improve AI models and the Service.
6. Intellectual Property
The KidStory name, logo, website design, and all non-generated content are the intellectual property of KidStory and may not be reproduced without permission.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will always be appropriate, accurate, or of a specific quality. Parents and guardians should review AI-generated stories before sharing with young children.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, KidStory shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of credits, story data, or service interruptions.
9. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon deletion, your stories and personal data will be removed from our systems within 30 days.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
